Grow in Peace was created by the members
of Peace Lutheran Church as a ministry outreach in order to provide
quality child care to area families that is based on Christian
principles. Peace Lutheran Church’s mission is to spread the grace of
God through Jesus Christ in order to build successful lives, families
and communities.
Grow in Peace is a Missouri state
licensed child care center, which means certain of the rules and
regulations we operate under are dictated and directed by the Missouri
Department of Health, as contained in the Licensing Rules for Group
day Care Home and Child Care Centers in Missouri, a copy of which
is available in the office for your review. The Licensing Rules mandate
that the staff of Grow in Peace report any suspected child abuse to
appropriate authorities.
Grow in Peace’s approach to education
and child care recognizes that PARENTS have the primary responsibility
and privilege to provide the first level of instruction and training,
including Christian training, for their children; however, as an
extension of Peace Lutheran Church, we will strive to strengthen and
support parents in this endeavor by assisting the spiritual,
intellectual, emotional, social and physical development of the children
entrusted to our care.
Grow
in Peace is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our
preschool curriculum operates from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with before
and after care provided as part of your weekly fees. Lunch is served to
children in the building over the lunch period. The exact time of lunch
depends upon the age group of your child. The current lunch schedule
can be provided to you in the office or by clicking
here. Meals provided for ages 12
months to 12 years are Breakfast, Lunch, and PM Snack.
Every Child in the
center qualifies Grow in Peace to be on the Food Program. The
meals are pre-set and follow the USDA
standards and guidelines. Each child receives the amounts and food
items needed to fulfill the standards.
